I'll be at Fuel House Coffee for a reception of my new paintings August 13th. It's going to be mostly still lifes with a floral theme. Stop by to take a look, there will be light refreshments and an optional wine tasting. There is a small cover charge at the door. The work will also be on display for the rest of the month of August.

East Point Lighthouse

Went out to East Point Lighthouse yesterday as this hurricane is winding down. The sky was overcast and windy with rain drops coming and going. The lighthouse stood there strong and silent.

November Field

There is a field near where I live with a solitary row of lettuce half picked, as if someone had to leave in a hurry, and a lingering puddle from the previous day's rain.

Watercolor

I was out for a long walk and passed by this stream where the tree's roots had the most wonderful colored moss on it. I must admit September is turning out to be my favorite month of the year weatherwise. I've a few paintings in the works, still trying to work out my process.

The past two days it has been in the 90's, today was clear and hot. I ventured out to a local nature preserve to paint this small oil. Below you can see some images of the progression of the painting, and the finished work.
